Alison Moss, aged 46, of Fox Walk, Walkley, was found guilty of murder yesterday and her partner David Webster, 49, of Leppings Lane, Hillsborough, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

The pair, branded 'extremely violent individuals' by South Yorkshire Police, attacked 47-year-old Craig Wild to death in August.

Moss and Webster had been drinking and taking drugs together at Moss' house and were joined by Mr Wild before an argument broke out and Webster attacked him.

Police officers called to the house by worried neighbours said they were met by an 'horrific' sight.

Mr Wild had over 117 separate injuries caused by a range of weapons including a Stanley knife, kitchen knife and a screwdriver.

He was also punched, kicked and stamped on.

South Yorkshire Police said forensic evidence found on shoes and clothing proved that Moss 'participated' in the 'brutal murder'.

Moss will also be sentenced today for assaulting a 17-year-old boy in January in which he was cut with a razor and attacked by a dog.

The victim was left with wounds and bite marks to his arms, and a large gash to the side of his head, after being hit with a pair of scissors.
