Kids in city's care system can attend workshops

Young people within the Sheffield care system are to be involved in healthy heart workshops to help them live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Sova, a charity which works with vulnerable and disadvantaged people, has been awarded £4500 by Yorkshire-based national charity Heart Research UK, to run a year-long programme of workshops in Sheffield to engage and inform young people in improving their lifestyles.

Each six week course will include an hour of physical exercise twice a week through Zumba classes, workouts and team sports as well as sharing knowledge and practical skills around healthy eating, smoking cessation and the dangers of substance misuse.
