KFC lovers in one of Sheffield's prime nightlife areas have been forced to look elsewhere for their chicken fix this week.
The restaurant on West Street announced on Monday that it would be closing for refurbishment, apologising to hungry customers for the inconvenience.
Work can be seen progressing inside to renovate the restaurant but chicken lovers have been forced to make the trek to Haymarket in order to get their KFC fix.
However, Luke Forde, regional manager for KFC West Street confirmed that the restaurant would not be closed for too long.
He said: "We’re always looking to improve our restaurants so we have closed our Sheffield West Street restaurant this week for a refresh, and will be reopening on Saturday at 10.30.
For fans who can’t wait until then, our Sheffield Haymarket restaurant is just a 14-minute walk away.”
