WILDLIFE Trust bosses are celebrating after a Sheffield nature reserve was honoured.
The Wyming Brook reserve, near Rivelin, has achieved the Green Flag award – the national award for public and community parks and green spaces – for the second year running.
Rob Miller, Living Don manager at the Wildlife Trust for Sheffield and Rotherham, said: “We’re very proud to have achieved a Green Flag award for Wyming Brook for the second year running.
“It is a great reward for all the commitment and hard work undertaken by staff and volunteers.
“We hope we can maintain the site to the required standard in the coming years to allow wildlife to flourish and for people to enjoy this beautiful reserve in the Rivelin Valley.”
Wyming Brook is part of the Eastern Moors site of special scientific interest.
