Jos Luhukay confirms another Sheffield Wednesday player will miss the remainder of the season

Another Sheffield Wednesday player's season has been confirmed as over by boss Jos Luhukay.

Owls full back Jack Hunt came off early in last week’s win over Reading and scans have revealed that he will be unable to take part in the remaining two games against Wolves on Saturday and Norwich next week.

The injury, however is not not as bad as initially feared and Hunt will rest for three to four weeks before being able to take part in any training.

All being well he should be fit to return for pre-season.

Speaking ahead of his side’s match against the champions, Luhukay said: “First of all it’s a big challenge to take on the best team in the league and we are happy to go there and try to play a good game.

”We will try also to bring a result back, but with regard to the team - everyone knows about the players who are injured. But in the last game against Reading Jack Hunt must come out of the game with injury.

”He will be our now for the last two games. But it is not the worst injury in his knee and the medical team says that with three or four weeks he can start the new pre-season.’
