Jorvik Viking Centre exhibition set to come to Barnsley

A new exhibition from the Jorvik Viking Centre in York is coming to Barnsley.

It is to coming to Experience Barnsley on Saturday, April 30, revealing secrets about the celebrities of the Viking world.

Skeletons, replica helmets and crowns, jewellery and clothing, weapons and maps will all be on display until Sunday, August 14.

Sue Thiedeman, Barnsley Council’s Head of Culture, said: “South Yorkshire has strong Viking links and I am sure people will want to discover more about their fascinating stories.”
