Jon Newsome's Sheffield Wednesday Column Part Two: Why Bolton Wanderers provide Owls with a big test of character

The trip to Bolton on Saturday is a real test for Sheffield Wednesday, in my view.

It's one of those games that on paper at the start of the season we would have been confident in earmarking it as a potential three points.

After our bit of a stumbling start and then on top of that the league cup defeat at the hands of Bolton in late August - one of only two wins in all competitions for the Trotters this season - it takes on a bit more than first thought.

Thankfully we are coming off the back of an excellent victory and performance against Leeds and that is why I believe it is a real test.

It is as much about our character as anything else. On paper we have by far the better players and if they play to their potential with pace and tempo then I would like to think that we can build on that Leeds victory and start heading in the right direction.
