BOAT owners are being urged to help create a flotilla when a canal festival takes place this summer.
The Chesterfield Canal Festival will be held at Staveley Town Basin on June 29 and 30.
Rod Auton, spokesman for Chesterfield Canal Trust which is organising the event, said: “There is a superb slipway, so it is easy for trailboats.
“A few have booked, but there will be space for lots more.”
Attractions lined up for the festival include music and dance, flying displays, a dog show, miniature train rides, stalls and a real ale bar.
The festival is combining with open days at Barrow Hill Roundhouse railway centre.
