
The politician was pictured arriving at the railway station and posing for pictures with fans after stepping from his train - including larking around and making faces for a youngster and her mum.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the rally by Mr Corbyn in Barker's Pool from 6pm.
The speech is part of his campaign to remain as Labour leader after being challenged by Owen Smith for the leadership.

In 2015, he addressed over 1,000 people outside The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield during his original leadership campaign.
The Sheffield branch of Momentum, the ‘grassroots network’ of supporters that back Mr Corbyn, said: “Jeremy’s campaign is powered by people like us and this is a real opportunity to get out and show our support for people-powered politics.
