It's public transport

You get on the bus and getting on behind you is a group of school children aged sixish, all happy after a day out of school.

I sit down, so do the kids. Yes they were loud and giddy but no trouble, it’s public transport, they had every right to be on it.

What shocked me was the response from others near me.

“If I knew this lot was on I wouldn’t have got on,” said one older lady.

“I don’t mind kids but can’t they be quiet?” said another ,wanting me to agree with her.

When they got off, “Thank goodness ”said the lady next to me. “Ican now hear myself think.”

Well I think it was nice to see happy well-behaved kids who had had a good day.

It’s public transport, to serve the public, even children, who if some had their way would be seen and not heard.
