It was a different story
Reading the letter from Mike Lawton about the Big O, Sonny Parkes was there and he is right about the audience being stunned by his appearance: a short stubby-looking man.
But when he started singing and playing his guitar, it was a different story, he was great.
I had the same sensation when I saw Slim Whitman and Buddy Holly.

Hide AdSlim Whitman made an entrance in a dark suit and started yodelling to Indian Love Call. Buddy Holly just stood there playing and sang Ready Teddy and never moved from the spot - again, all brilliant.
Regards to ML, keep spinning them discs.
