It’s very heartwarming to know that our wonderful council are looking after our best interests, what with everything else that is currently going on in and around the city.
The problems with the relaying of all the roads and pavements, do some areas have grass verges or not, the never-ending saga of the Rustlings Road trees, and not forgetting the multi-million pound development of the city centre that doesn’t seem to be happening.
So it was a great relief to me that last week in the middle of August, when people are still on their summer holidays, a council vehicle arrived on the road to refill the grit bin?
Does someone in the council know something that the rest of us don’t, or is this forward planning on a huge scale?
All I can say Sheffield, is get the snow shovels out of the shed and be prepared like the council seems to be.
