Sunday, November 15, one week after Remembrance Sunday, is RoadPeace Day when we remind ourselves of the devastating effect of death and serious injury on our roads.
This is an opportunity to reflect and remember in the company of others whose lives have been affected.
The service is at Upper Chapel, Norfolk Street, S1 2JD at 6.30pm.
A time of readings, prayers and music is for those of any faith or none, just a time to be together in peace, and, if you wish, to light a candle and place a paper oak leaf alongside. These will be later taken to the National Arboretum of Remembrance in Staffordshire for their annual RoadPeace Service next August.
This is not only a time of remembrance, but also an opportunity to reflect on how we might bring about change for the better on our roads.
RoadPeace has always been supported by the police and representatives hope to be present at the service.
If you have been affected by death or injury on our roads, please come and join us. You are not alone.
