It could be you next time

I just want to say a big thank you to the motorists who drove past my daughter on the A61 Grenoside Road on Wednesday evening, January 20, near the Norfolk Arms pub, who wound their windows down and called her every farmyard animal with a few swear words thrown in.

Having just finished a 12-hour shift caring for the elderly, she picked her small children up from us and was on her way home when she broke down.

No, she was not badger watching, as one smart Alec shouted and yes, she had called breakdown services and no, she didn’t intend to break down, especially on the spot she did.

However, many sincere thanks to the couple in the cottage across who helped her contact us to go to her aid and get three small, cold children to safety.

On a closing note to the loudmouths, I wonder if she had earlier that day been attending to one of your elderly relatives?

Take a step back and think, it could be you anytime.
