Isle residents have the chance to become a hospital governor

Think you have what it takes to influence local hospital services?

If so then step forward and nominate yourself as a Trust governor. There are two vacancies currently available, one in North Lincolnshire and the other in North East Lincolnshire.

Governors are the link between the hospital members and directors, responsible for conveying information about affordability, service plans and health improvement initiatives.

People interested in nominating themselves for the post or those wanting to vote must be registered as Trust members by Friday October 10. The deadline for nominations is Monday October 13.

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust will be piloting its governor elections electronically this time – one of very few Trusts in the country to do so - to benefit efficiencies in communication.

Current members can provide their e-mail address direct to the membership office via [email protected] or use the Trust website. New members can register by visiting www.nlg.nhs.uk/about/membership/join/ or call (01724) 387946.

Deadline for candidate withdrawals is Friday October 17 followed by the issue of ballot packs on Tuesday October 28. The voting poll will close at 5pm on Thursday November 20 with results announced on Friday November 21.
