And little tangible progress, it seems, has been made towards the domestic super-fight that is Brook v Khan.

The bigger question had always been how the post-fight would go - would Khan accepts Brook's investigation to a December dance? Well, not exactly.
The Bolton welterweight, in his second fight since returning to the ring after a two-year absence, said: "The only fight that works for me over Kell Brook is Manny Pacquiao. I want him, he is my number one pick. If not we go back to the drawing board and if it's Kell Brook, it's Kell Brook."
So that's settled then?
Brook, like most, were less than impressed with Khan's performance or his comments.
