Investigation into death of man on Sheffield Parkway continues

A police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in a collision on the Sheffield Parkway is continuing.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision, which involved a pedestrian and a car, at 10.30pm on Tuesday.

South Yorkshire Police said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries are being carried out to ascertain and understand the full and exact circumstances of the incident itself and any events prior to the collision taking place.

"Anyone who may have been a witness, or was in the area at the time, is asked to call the police on 101."
