SHEFFIELD households could do better at making environmental improvements to their homes, according to research carried out by a website called

Its researchers found that, while 57 per cent of households in Sheffield have invested in double glazing, just 36 per cent that had topped up their loft insulation and 16 per cent had draught-proofed their home.

Spokeswoman Lydia Sharples said: “It’s important smaller jobs aren’t overlooked as they offer savings on the cost of heating, too.”
