Inquests to be opened into deaths of Sheffield police officer and woman killed in Christmas Day crash
Inquests are to be opened tomorrow into the deaths of a Sheffield police officer and the passenger of another car killed in a horror crash on Christmas Day.

PC Dave Fields, aged 45 and 61-year-old Lorraine Stephenson died in a head-on smash on the A57 near Coisley Hill and the Shirebrook Valley Nature Reserve, close to the Mosborough Parkway.
PC Fields was driving a marked BMW 3 series and Mrs Stephenson was the passenger in a silver Citroen C3 travelling in the opposite direction.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.

Friends and relatives are to gather today for the funeral for PC Fields, which is to be held at Grenoside Crematorium at 3.50pm.
A guard of honour is to be formed as a mark of respect for the traffic officer and his funeral procession will involve police officers on motorbikes and horses.
Marked police cars are to be used to transport his family to and from the service.
