Sharks have won four of their last five games – including an 87-78 win over Plymouth Raiders last Friday – and will now use a two-week break before their next game to deal with their substantial injury list.

“It’s nice to stick two wins together and hopefully that’ll give us confidence going forward” said Tuck.

“The guys are starting to gel now, we’re getting that consistency. It makes everybody’s life easier when you have chemistry off-court and that translates on to the court eventually.

“The break has definitely played into our hands in terms of injuries. We’ve got a lot of guys not on the court right now due to injuries and this gives them the chance to get back. It’d be a good time for us to regroup and hopefully when we do get back we’ll almost be back to full strength.”

Sharks’ season has been up and down so far, but positive results and performances have enabled the side to hold a 7-6 record going into the next fixture – a derby against Leeds Force.

“It’s been so up and down, you win one and lose one, but we’re starting to prove ourselves now and the Plymouth game is definitely a good turning-point in the season for us,” said Tuck.

Tuck was happy with the team performance against Raiders – and was also pleased with a good personal performance which yielded 25 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks. We played pretty good defence,” he said.

“We scored the ball well as well. A couple of guys played well and stepped up so it was a good performance in that respect. And on a personal note, I got going early on. It felt like every shot was going in so it was a really good night for me too.”
