THE Great Flood of 2007 is commemorated in a 144-page Star book that captures the tragedies and triumphs of the region's worst flood in centuries.

This full colour publication carries a day by day account in words, front page headlines and hundreds of pictures providing a unique record of of that terrible week at the end of June.

It is available from Star shops in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster and at other outlets across the region at 13.99, also by ordering at www.thestar.co.uk. From every book sold 1 goes to the South Yorkshire Flood Disaster Relief Fund.

celebration of community spirit will take place today on a Sheffield estate devastated by floods.

The children's fun day at Winn Gardens Pavilion in Middlewood Park will feature a bouncy castle, face painting and balloon fun.

It's organised by the Middlewood Winners community group and Winn Gardens Tenants and Residents Association with funding from Sheffield Homes North West Area Board. Goes from midday to 4.30pm.
