THE memory is living on of a Sheffield climber killed while mountaineering in the French Alps.

Student physiotherapist James Brownhill, aged 22, died after falling from the Frendo Spur last July.

His parents Gary and Christine, from Lodge Moor, set up the James Brownhill Memorial Fund, which has funded the award for clinical excellence in physiotherapy.

Emma Chadwick, 21, a student at Manchester Metropolitan University where James studied, received the first award.

Gary said: “This is another step towards keeping his memory alive.”
