Improvements made to buses after feedback from travellers

Several improvements have been made to public transport after customer feedback.

South Yorkshire Passenger Transport asked for people’s views under its You Said, We Did scheme.

Changes in Barnsley involved organising extra morning and evening journeys on First’s X22 service, at 7.55am and 5.15pm, after another service was withdrawn.

In Doncaster, park-and-ride ticket machines have been upgraded, so they take all bank notes, and a bus shelter has been installed at the Canterbury Road and Beckett Road stop.

A SYPTE spokesman said: “We have been listening to feedback and making direct improvements.”
