IKEA store should use Sheffield steel
Looking at the artists' impressions of the vast new IKEA store, which is about to appear at Meadowhall, it struck me that copious amounts of steel will be needed for the main girder-work and ancillary fitting out.
Is it too late to add a clause to the planning agreement whereby the steel has to be British steel or better still Sheffield steel?
