The arrival of Meadowhall 2, a £300 million overhaul of Sheffield's iconic shopping centre, has already got people speculating on which new shops, stores, cafes and restaurants they'd like to see when it opens.

SusiePie Orwin wrote on Facebook: "I would like to see a shop selling 'Sheffield' things, like the Sheffield scene shop opposite town hall, and also something about our history. Seems daft not to take the opportunity to introduce Meadowhall visitors to our local area."

Joanne Tyree also thought the new look venue should slant towards the city's history and said: "A Hendersons Relish cafe!"
Dawn Bell Proctor asked for a "John Lewis and a branch of the Cheesecake Factory please" while Charlotte Haslam said: "Would love to see a Taco Bell at Meadowhall!

Lisa Loopy Briggs, Louise Gee and Mark Turton both suggested Selfridges and Harvey Nicholls while Leepy Lee Gambles jokingly suggested defunct former High Street favourites Woolworths and C&A.
Andy Jayne Barrott Hartley wants to see Scandinavian furniture giant Ikea open a store in the new look Meadowhall.
