A hunt is underway for the driver of a car involved in a crash which left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
South Yorkshire Police said the driver was not at the crash scene when officers arrived in the early hours of this morning.
A grey MG ZR, which was travelling along Kimberworth Road, Kimberworth, crashed into two parked cars close to the junction with Psalters Lane at around 2.30am.
One of the passengers - a 24-year-old woman - suffered fatal injuries.
A 22-year-old man, who was also a passenger in the car, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver at this time, it is not known whether they suffered any injuries so anyone with information is asked to call police."
