Hundreds of cannabis plants have been found in a house in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police said around 400 plants were found during a raid of a house in Manchester Road, Deepcar, over the weekend.

Two suspects have been charged over the discovery and are due before Sheffield magistrates today.

The plants were at an early stage of growth.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "It is always good to recover what would have grown to be a significant haul."
