Crews were called to Manor Road, Kiveton Park, at around 11.05pm yesterday and found a disused warehouse engulfed in flames.
Because of fears that there may have been asbestos in the roof, and due to the large amount of smoke the fire generated, residents were warned
to keep their doors and windows closed.

This morning, firefighters said there is still a lot of smoke in the Kiveton Park area and residents are still being advised to keep their doors and windows closed until the fire is out, but they have been warned it could take days.
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said the Environment Agency has assessed asbestos at the scene and ‘it is not deemed to be a risk to the public’.
