HUGE blaze breaks out at Sheffield business sending huge plumes of smoke through the city

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said two fire crews are in attendance at the blaze at a business premises in Parkwood Road, Neepsend.
Thick, black plumes of smoke are eminating from the fire and have been seen throughout the city.

He said: “We have had to evacuate our venue next door but the site which is on fire is blazing heavily. So far our venue is safe but we are only 20 or 30m away through the trees.”
A number of roads have been closed, including Neepsend Lane at the junction with Bardwell Road and at the junction with Hillfoot Road and Hoyland Road at the junction with Parkwood Road, while firefighters continue to tackle the blaze.
