However, heavy snow has caused major travel disruption in Sheffield this morning with 'treacherous' road conditions and bus services suspended.

Both games are still scheduled to go ahead with Sheffield Wednesday urging visitors to 'have a safe trip' if they're heading to the Stadium of Light.

SWFC Supporters Club tweeted: "Snowing fast and heavy here in Sheffield. If like me you're off to Sunderland in a few hours, please take care and get there safe."

However, Sheffield United have tweeted that they are currently 'monitoring' weather conditions ahead of tonight's match.

The Under 23's match against Colchester United has already been called off due to the weather and the Box Office, Reception and Superstore at Bramall Lane are all closed.
