CHATSWORTH’S head housekeeper will be letting visitors into a few secrets about how life in the Peak District’s very own Downton Abbey is run and managed.

The Friends of the Peak District have organised a talk by Christine Robinson, head housekeeper at the stately home.

The Secrets of Chatsworth is at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 7, at the Victoria Methodist Hall in Sheffield city centre.

Carol Robinson, chief executive at Friends of the Peak District said: “We’re delighted that Christine is giving us the talk.

“She’ll be letting us into a few secrets about what goes on behind the scenes at Chatsworth, and also what’s involved with transforming the house for the Christmas festivities.”
