Student Kelly Chambers was more than a little shocked to learn the name she uses to post messages on a fan’s internet forum had been banded about in the High Court in London.

It followed an application by Sheffield Wednesday to force the owner of the Owlstalk website to reveal the identity of 13 fans who used aliases to post messages. During the proceedings it was said anonymous user names such as Coronation Street character Deirdre Rashid were used on the site.

But Diedre, aka Kelly, is not one of the fans alleged by the club to have made defamatory comments.

The 18-year-old Wednesdayite, from Greaves Lane, Stannington who is currently studying English, sociology and critical thinking at Hillborough College, is now desperate for everyone to know it wasn’t her.

She said: “Everyone knows I post under Deirdre Rashid, or at least I did, I now use a different name.

“My mum was shocked when she saw my username had been mentioned and my gran still doesn’t believe me when I say it has nothing to do with me.”
