There have been many letters complaining about local bus services. They either run late, or not at all, the drivers are rude, and moan when the passengers can’t pay. And bus companies have the effrontery to axe or curtail little-used routes.
To slightly redress the balance, here’s a compliment!
The route I use, (120) run by Stagecoach is exemplary: a five minute interval during most of the day, always busy, runs on Sundays and now the route has been taken over by wonderful green, double decker, vehicles, elegantly designed inside and out and displaying the news that they are electrical hybrids and help in reducing pollution.
They are smooth and quiet and a pleasure to ride in. How do they work? Anyone know?
