Housing plans set for approval

RESIDENTS who have been extending a Sheffield home without planning permission and continued work despite a notice ordering them to stop are set to be granted permission for the project.

Sheffield Council’s city centre, south and east planning board is being recommended to approve the changes to a house on Rosamund Place, which have involved building a two-storey side extension and rear extension when it meets on Monday.

Previous plans had been approved for a smaller extension last year but concerns were raised that building work was larger than the agreed plans.

A new planning application was submitted, which council officers said would be ‘sympathetic’ to the surrounding area.
