THE boss of a South Yorkshire firm has been voted one of the UK’s most influential people in housing – ahead of the PM.

Tony Stacey, South Yorkshire Housing Association chief executive, was ranked 13th, five places above Prime Minister David Cameron in a list of ‘the 50 most influential people in housing’ compiled by 24Housing Magazine.

The list followed a poll involving more than 200 of the country’s most senior housing chief executives, politicians, commentators and social academics.

The report praised Mr Stacey for being ‘at the forefront of showcasing what locally focused providers can do – and should be doing – for their customers and communities’.
