Housebuilder supports children's cancer charity in Yorkshire
Candlelighters, a children's cancer charity, is to be championed by a housebuilder, with employees raising funds throughout the year.
The charity is Leeds-based and helps children with cancer in Yorkshire by supporting their families and helping to fund a range of activities.
This includes raising money for equipment on hospital wards and funding the jobs of many people who make children’s cancer treatment in Yorkshire among the best in the country.
The charity also invests in a vital research programme in to the causes of children’s cancer and potential new treatments, putting Yorkshire at the forefront of childhood cancer research.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has revealed it will fundraise for Candlelighters throughout 2018 and beyond.
Fundraisers will include land manager, David Coe, tackling the Great North Run, with regular dress down days at the head office and many more events.
Amy Harrison, corporate fundraiser at Candlelighters, said: “ The difference organisations like Barratt Developments can make is essential to keeping our services running for the 150 children across Yorkshire who are diagnosed with cancer every year. Their support will enable us to be there for ordinary families facing extraordinary circumstances when they need us the most. We are so grateful to their staff for choosing us as their charity. ”
