A house in South Yorkshire has suffered severe damage in an overnight blaze.
The fire, which is believed to have started accidentally while the owners of the property were out, happened at a house on East Villas, Thompson Terrace, Askern, last night.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene at about 9.25pm and were at the site until around 1am in the morning tackling the fire.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the alarm had been raised by a neighbour, with the fire thought to have started in the downstairs living room.
He said the property had been 'severely damaged'.
Fire investigators are now starting work to establish the cause of the blaze.
