The owners of a Grindleford hotel have handed over £500 to support a community-run village shop.
The cash was raised at the Sir William hotel during quiz nights.
It will go towards keeping the community-run village shop going.
The shop is currently run from St Helen’s Church Vestry, by a committee of local volunteers.
The hotel also recently donated a defibrillator to the village following the death of a customer.
Seven customers and members of staff were sent on a first responder’s course to learn how to use the device to help save lives.
