Honour women of achievement

Have your say

DO you know a woman who deserves recognition?

If so the organisers of this year’s Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards – won by inspirational Barnsley skier Jo Willoughby last year – want to hear from you.

Last year the annual event raised over £28,000 for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice, which provides care for people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and renal failure.

Dr Willoughby, Britain’s finest disabled skier despite being paralysed below the chest and having her leg amputated, said: “Winning in 2011 really made my year.”

This year’s Women of Achievement Awards will be held on Friday, May 25, in Leeds.
