SHEFFCARE is celebrating National Dignity Action Day with special events at its residential homes in the city.
National Dignity Action Day, which is supported by broadcaster and TV star Dame Joan Bakewell, aims to highlight the importance of dignity for people living in care.
Sheffcare, the not-for-profit organisation that operates 11 residential care homes across Sheffield, will mark the day on February 1 at all its sites, with special events including pamper days, coffee mornings, and debates about what dignity means to Sheffcare residents.
“We are delighted that our homes are supporting National Dignity Action Day,” said Sheffcare Chief Executive Belinda Gibson.
“At Sheffcare we know all our residents are treated with dignity and consideration every day.”
