A scheme outlining a commitment to tackling health inequalities faced by homeless people has been backed by Sheffield chiefs.

Members of the city’s health and wellbeing board have signed the St Mungo’s Broadway Homeless Health Charter, which encourages health boards to understand homeless people’s health needs, and use information to help with future health planning.

Board chairman Coun Julie Dore said it was ‘vital’ everything was done to protect those who are homeless.
