EMMERDALE’S Ian Sharrock is to appear in a production of Sherlock Holmes A Study of Fear at The Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield this weekend.

Sharrock, who plays Alan Partridge, will star alongside Nicholas Briggs of Doctor Who and Torchwood fame, in the Rumpus Theatre Company production.

The play, by John Goodrum, is based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s book The Final Problem which see Holmes finally confront his arch nemesis James Moriaty.

Performances take place on Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm with a matinee performance at 3pm on Saturday.

Tickets are available at the box office priced £14 on Friday and £15 on Saturday.
