At 11.30am Reginald Le Pla relates the true story of ‘The Murder at the Priory’, with his own slant on this Victorian unsolved crime.

After lunch Ian Dewhirst covers the social, cultural and recreational aspects of Victorian and Edwardian life centred on chapels and churches.

There will also be visiting stalls from neighbouring societies and a fully-equipped research area available for use.

The programme of events starts at 9am with registration and refreshments and lunch will be available.

“Each year this event is very well-attended and attracts interest from far and wide,” said publicity officer Alan Turner.
