Hilly contest for runners

Have your say

SHEFFIELD’S fun runners have a hilly challenge - in the shape of the Whirlow Trail Challenge, billed as ‘the best six country mile running route in the city’.

The event takes place from 11.30am on Sunday, September 18, and also includes a three-kilometre fun run for little ones, from 10.15am.

Totley AC running club has helped design the course through the hilly countryside on the edge of Sheffield.

The races are part of the annual Whirlow Hall Farm Fayre, one of Sheffield’s most popular family events.

After the race, there will be entertainment including live music, Whirlow’s first horticulture show, a huge craft marquee and farmers’ market.
