High demand for stall spaces at community festival event

Have your say

Just two stalls and one trade stand are left at one of Sheffield’s biggest community events.

Organisers of Lowedges Festival, on Sunday, August 11, say they have been inundated with demand from organisations and businesses wishing to attend.

The event, organised by Greenhill and Bradway Tenants’ and Residents’ Association, last year attracted 15,000 visitors.

Stephen Rich, from the TARA, said: “We are fully booked with stalls except for two tabletop stalls and a large space ideal for taxi or car company, or trade stand.

“But we are still accepting cars, bikes and scooters for the classic vehicle show.”

Lowedges Festival has support from Shaun Wright, South Yorkshire police and crime commissioner, who is funding a climbing wall, while The Star is sponsoring the vehicle show.
