Heroic member of the public helps police save young woman from bridge overlooking M1
A heroic bystander helped police save a young woman from a bridge overlooking the M1 in the early hours this morning.
Debryshire Roads Police tweeted that the "young emotional female" was pulled back from the wrong side of the railings on the Long Eaton Bridge over the M1.
Officers of the Road Policing Unit also revealed that they were helped by a member of the public.
The force said that the woman was now getting help from the NHS.
