Heritage sites open doors to public in Sheffield

THREE heritage sites in Sheffield have opened their doors to visitors.

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, Kelham Island Museum and the newly-restored Shepherd Wheel in Whiteley Woods will host exciting activities and entertainment this weekend.

Visitors can make barrels at the hamlet and create a memory wall at the museum.

Niki Connolly, of Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust, said: “This is just the start of things to come for 2012 as we’ve got a really exciting programme of events lined up. ”
