A herd of elephant sculptures has descended on Sheffield’s parks and open spaces as part of the Wild in Art event to raise funds for Sheffield’s Children’s Hospital Charity.

Fundraising manager Rebecca Staden said: “The interactive sculpture trail exists due to the shared vision, creativity and generosity of people across our city and is a huge collaboration from our artists, sponsors and school children. The trail is a great way to spend the summer as a tourist in the city, explore new areas whilst finding 130 elephants using the Herd of Sheffield app which is available on Apple and Android.

“We’re absolutely overwhelmed by the support the Herd of Sheffield has received. The project is bigger and better than we could have ever imagined, it showcases our city and the creative talent which exists today whilst celebrating our heritage through this world-class initiative.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that has shared the herd vision and helped bring this project to life. Thanks to you, we have created something truly special for Sheffield.”
