Help vulnerable neighbours

Residents are being encouraged to act as ‘snow buddies’ to help elderly and disabled neighbours and relatives in Derbyshire.

The county council is urging people to ensure vulerable people have enough food and are keeping warm.

Council cabinet member responsible for public health, Coun Carol Hart, said: “We know from experience that prolonged spells of severe weather can cause problems but if we all take extra care and look out for our elderly or vulnerable neighbours, we can minimise disruption and help them stay safe.”
