A FREE event for businesses that want to protect themselves and staff from the costs of poor driving is being staged by Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership.
The Managing Road Risk workshop on Tuesday, September 11, is being run jointly with the national Driving for Better Business programme at Balfour Beatty’s Driver Risk Management Centre in Derby.
Partnership manager Robert Hill said: “Crashes are more expensive than many businesses realise - they cost British employers around £2.7billion every year. Luckily there are simple steps you can take to prevent crashes if you’ve got staff who drive for work.
“The aim of the workshop is to help you create and implement a road risk policy that suits your business. A good policy can bring many benefits including lower fuel costs, fewer days lost due to injury, lower insurance premiums and fewer missed opportunities.”
